Welcome to Bits and Pieces ! I've always have been interested in my family history since I was a boy, and this blog is my way of sharing those bits of memory with my family. You will not find long and scholarly pieces but you will find bits of information that I have searched out. Some families have wonderful documentation back to colonial times others like my own hit a brick wall (A warning to all, on- line family trees can be quite misleading). Both sides of our family have stayed in New England , once they arrived in the area, whether it was the 1600's or the 1900's.
